Operator Training by Blue Group

Other

In order to continually support our customers, Blue Group have been running a number of Operator Training Days at each of our main offices.

The latest session, which was held at Blue Scotland’s new facility in Stirling was run by our Group Technical Director, Tony Weir and was attended by the maximum 12 operators, from a number of different customers including Bowman’s Skip Hire, Skene Group, WM Tracey, Allan Ross and Leith’s. To be highly relevant, this particular session focused on the Powerscreen range of mobile screening equipment and was split in to two main sections. Firstly health and safety, ensuring against operator injury when around the mobile screening equipment and secondly relating to the general maintenance of these mobile screens

Areas covered
Health and Safety around the mobile screening machines
Lock out tag out
Evaluating the risks
Understanding the Emergency Stop System
Creating a Maintenance Plan
Belt alignment on the mobile screening equipment
Screen media optimisation
Understanding hydraulics schematics
Understanding electrical schematics
General greasing and lubrication procedures of the mobile screens

In addition to maintenance Tony is able to offer guidance on how to maximise the performance of the mobile screening machines, by making adjustments to the screenbox depending upon application. The performance modifications, the health and safety and maintenance elements are covered initially in the classroom before a practical session after lunch. We will be holding more training days throughout 2017 and across the UK. For more information contact your Blue Group Sales Representative who will be able to inform you when there is a session in your area.

Quote from one of the attendees

Just a quick thank you to yourself and the team at Blue for taking the time to produce a very knowledgeable seminar today. Both presentation and hands on approach was very interesting and professional. From covering the uppermost number one priority health and safety, through to maintaining the machines and prolonging the life of components. Great that you guys take the time to pass this on to the customer, and leading the way with dealers.
