KJ Crushing Ltd. take 9th Powerscreen

Crushers
Screeners

KJ Services located in South Wales have ordered a further three Powerscreen machines, following the purchase of six Powerscreen mobile crushers and screens in 2016 from Blue Southern.

KJ Services started operations in South Wales in the 1970’s working in the coal industry supplying machines and equipment for hire in the many deep mine collieries spread across the area.

Following the decline of the deep mines, the company started to work closely with the Opencast Coal Companies before moving into aggregates and the quarrying sector. The company now supplies equipment to many of the leading players in this market and work within some of the biggest quarries throughout the UK with a fleet of over 100 machines. As demand in this sector increased, so did the opportunities, leading to KJ Services setting up a dedicated crushing and screening subsidiary of the company under the name of KJ Crushing Ltd.

The latest machines ordered are a Premiertrak 400 mobile jaw crusher, a Maxtrak 1150 mobile cone crusher and a Chieftain 2200 screen. The Premiertrak 400 is the fourth to be purchased by KJ Services. One of the biggest advantages of these machines is the speed of set up and ease of operation making them ideal for the hire market. This means that once the Premiertrak 400 has arrived on site it can be processing in as little as 30 minutes. The processing power of the Premiertrak 400 mobile jaw crusher is also extremely impressive and the machine allows the operator to have total control over product size via hydraulically adjustable crusher settings. Furthermore overload protection technology within the Premiertrak 400 ensures against damage by uncrushable objects.

The 1150 Maxtrak mobile cone crusher has been designed for direct feed without the need for pre-screening on clean rock and incorporates hydraulic release so that any uncrushable material entering the chamber is safely discharged.

Finally the Chieftain 2200 screen boasts two 3-deck screenboxes and has a revolutionary patent pending drive system which allows switching between 2 and 4 bearings with bolt-on parts for ease of maintenance.

These three machines have been added to KJ Crushing Ltd.’s ever expanding fleet of machines. Previously the company has purchased two Premiertrak 400’s and a R400 mobile jaw crusher, a Trackpackor 500 SR impact crusher with its screen recirculating conveyor and a 1000 Maxtrak mobile cone crusher. In addition, the company has further invested in a Warrior 1800 screen with its adjustable angle, grease lubricated, two bearing, double screen deck

Commenting on the relationship between the two businesses, Glyn Cullen of KJ Crushing Ltd said, “Powerscreen has an excellent reputation for build quality and reliability. This not only enables us to undertake our work effectively, but also means a high resale value, should we ever want to upgrade. Working with Blue Southern also provides us with the peace of mind that any problems will be dealt with, allowing us to maintain the necessary production levels.”
