The Metrotrak HA Jaw Crusher by Powerscreen

The Powerscreen crusher range from Terex including; mobile jaw crushers, cone crushers and impact crushers, are considered the world over as being the leading equipment in the industry. Crushing plants often utilise a combination of crushing machines alongside mobile screening units to create an efficient and cost effective aggregate processing system.

Jaw crushers are one of the main types of primary crushers used in mine and ore processing plants. Jaw crushers are typically designed with a rectangular or square opening. The jaw crushers main function is to reduce large sized rocks or ore into smaller pieces, or change the form of waste materials so they can be more readily recycled or disposed of. Reducing the size of a solid mix of raw materials can also help compositions be differentiated; this is important in the extraction of ore.

A fixed jaw, mounted in a ‘V’ alignment is the stationary breaking surface. The movable jaw exerts force on the rock against a stationary plate and applies sufficient force to bring the surfaces together, generating enough force to separate the molecules (fracturing) in the material being crushed.

Let’s take a look at one of the Powerscreen jaw crusher options available at Blue Group:

The Metrotrak HA

The first in the jaw crusher range – The Metrotrak HA is a compact, high performance mobile plant featuring the 900mm x 600mm high capacity “M” series single toggle jaw.
Ideal for Primary crushing as well as virgin rock applications and contract crushing due to its high throughput and 3.6m3 hopper capacity.

The Metrotrak HA is suited for small to medium sized operations as operators can change the size of the finished aggregate using a simple user interface.
Unprecedented power means this machine will never let you down. Depending on your requirements, the Metrotrak HA jaw crusher comes in two optional power units:
• The Tier3/EU Stage 3A: CAT C7.1 ACERT 140 kW (188hp)
• Tier4/EU Stage 4: CAT C7.1 140kW (188hp)
