J. Davidson take on the MHL350F

Material Handlers

Long-standing Fuchs customer J. Davidson Scrap Ltd have recently taken delivery of a new MHL350F to add to their fleet.

The family-owned company was established by Jack Davidson in 1970, but the company is now run by the founder’s son Jamie and his two sons, Luke and Lee. With nearly 50 years of experience, J. Davidson Scrap is the leading processors of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in the Northwest. Today the company is busier than ever at their advanced facility in Altrincham, as they are processing up to 1300 tons of ferrous and 25 ton non-ferrous per week. Therefore, the firm required an additional material handler with high processing power to enable the firm to keep up with demand.

Due to the performance and reliability of the company’s old Fuchs machines meant that Jamie was sure he wanted to continue investing in the Fuchs brand. Consequently, after speaking with Blue’s Salesman Chris Matthews it didn’t take Jamie and his team long to decide that the MHL350F was the right machine for their operation. Since, the MHL350F really is the stand out handler for the scrap industry, with its impressive 16m reach and powerful 160kW engine.

Other new and improved features of the F series include its award-winning cab that offers the highest amount of comfort in the toughest conditions and a viewing height of 5.6m. Also, the MHL350F is equipped with joystick steering and a 7” multi-functional full-colour display panel, which provides the operator with an overview of important data. Jamie Davidson comments “We chose Fuchs for their reliability, they are just ideal. We have tried other machines in the past, but they just don’t perform or handle as well as the Fuchs.”

Harry Gibson, General Manager, J. Davidson Scrap explains “Having worked with Blue for several years was another reason why the company chose to purchase the MHL350. We are very happy with Blue, and the service guys are just great, as well as reliable. We haven’t yet used their spares facility in Warrington, but it is very reassuring to know that the support is there if we ever need it.”

Blue’s Salesman Chris Matthews comments “J. Davidson’s is one of the leading processors of scrap metal in the North West and have been a loyal and valued customer for many years of Blue and Fuchs. Due to this, they have witnessed how the Fuchs product has continually evolved into the market-leading product it is today. It is great working with a company who pride themselves on operating to the highest standards for their customers”.
