Blue Exhibit at Let’s Recycle Live/Demo Expo and CARS/ MRE

Blue Group Overview

September saw the return of trade shows and exhibitions within our industries, and we were delighted to be back at these events after a long two years! Let’s Recycle live took place on the 15th & 16th September at the NAEC Stoneleigh park, with CARS/MRE being hosted at the same venue two weeks later, on the 29th & 30th of September.

Let’s Recycle Live / Demo Expo

This year’s Let’s Recycle Live (co-hosted with Demo Expo) was the first industry show to take place following the relaxation of the lockdown rules. For this reason, it was always going to be tough to predict what the turnout would be like, however the show saw record numbers of attendance across the two days!

It has to be said that Blue had one of the biggest presences at the show with multiple indoor and outdoor stands, plus two machines working in the live demo area. On the main indoor stand, we showcased a Fuchs MHL 320F, a couple of Rammer Hammers, a Fortress Shear and an OilQuick quick coupling system. Over on our other indoor stand which was located at the entrance to the Demo Expo area, we had a Powerscreen Metrotrak Jaw Crusher.

Out in the live demo area were showing off a Fuchs MHL 331F material handler which was feeding waste wood into a Doppstadt Inventhor Type 6 shredder. Despite its compact size, the Type 6 outperformed most of the other bigger shredders on show.

CARS / Metal Recycle Event

Just a few weeks after the first show, it was time for the CARS / Metal Recycling Event. With some excellent operating skills by our engineer, Sam James, we managed to squeeze the massive Fuchs MHL 350F material handler into the hall where our indoor stand was located. The MHL 350F was sold just before the show started to Ron Hull, who were kind enough to let us display it at the show before we delivered it.

As well as the MHL 350F (which could be seen across the entire hall) we also had a Fortress Shear and several OilQuick coupling systems. Blue Spares came along to both shows and had a display showcasing some of their OEM parts, whilst also offering attendees a chance to win a display model Fuchs Material Handler and Doppstadt Inventhor Type 9 shredder!

Once again, we had machinery in the live demo area in the form of a Fuchs MHL 340F which was feeding scrap metal and cars into a shredder. The material handler which was owned by Blue Machinery Southern was sold to customer Brown & Mason.

We had some excellent conversations with people at both the shows and it was great to be able to network with customers and suppliers face to face at live events again. A big thank you for those who come and said hello to us on our stands and we look forward to doing it all again, with some big shows coming up in 2022!
