  • Pat McGeary became the UK Powerscreen dealer in 1983. Pat started in the industry in 1980 and had previously been works manager for Powerscreen in Dungannon.


  • Brian Maxwell became the Powerscreen dealer for South West England


  • Eugene Donnelly became a Powerscreen dealer covering London and the Home Counties.


  • Austin Carey appointed Scotland’s Powerscreen dealer, meaning the current Blue directors were all operating individual regional Powerscreen dealerships throughout mainland Britain.


  • Powerscreen became part of the TEREX corporation


  • The four directors looked to improve their offering to their customers by collectively setting up Spares UK which served to offer genuine OEM spare parts for Powerscreen equipment.


  • Blue Machinery Limited formed


  • Blue Machinery added Doppstadt to the product portfolio with the strategic vision of targeting the growing recycling and waste sector.


  • Blue diversify into waste recycling solutions


  • Blue machinery added the world renowned Pegson mobile crusher range to complement the existing mobile screens of Powerscreen.


  • Blue Machinery rebranded to Blue Machinery Group to reflect the growing offering of machinery, spares and service. Furthermore, the Blue Group brand reflects the structure of the company more appropriately, communicating the combined resources of the business in a more professional manner.


  • Spares UK was rebranded to Blue Spares to position the company more in line with the capital companies and emphasise the connection with the other Blue companies.


  • Blue machinery group turnover close to £60 million


  • Terex Fuchs range of material handlers added to Blue’s product portfolio


  • Blue agreed partnership deal with Dmac Engineering to create BlueMAC
