We are seeking a motivated and driven Sales Account Manager who is experienced in dealing with customers and products within the demolition and material handling sectors. It is essential that the successful candidate has knowledge of parts and aftersales experience of machine attachments or similar machinery and must be able to further development their knowledge to confidently identify and communicate with their customers on an equal level.

As a Sales Account Manager, you will be primarily selling to an already established customer base but must be confident in both inbound and outbound sales with the capability to identify new selling opportunities within every call. The candidate must be able to forge and develop strong relationships with new customers following a capital sale within the group to encourage loyal buying behaviours from the beginning. There will also be a requirement to carry out face to face site visits with your customer base on a regular basis as well as attendance at OEM training centres and sector relevant trade shows.

Specific Requirements:

  • Technical Sales experience within a parts or service delivery position
  • Experience of the machine attachment sector
  • Responsible for the account management of a portfolio of customers
  • Experience in new business sales and account management
  • Up-selling / cross selling
  • Motivation to earn good commission / used to targets
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new product and service
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Must be conscientious and respectful towards colleagues
  • Strong administration skills to ensure strategic forecasting and planning

Job Requirements:

  • Contacting new and existing clients
  • Dealing with live and lapsed accounts
  • Building solid client relationships
  • Taking all inbound calls, orders and queries
  • Up-selling and cross selling on all opportunities
  • Liaising on a highly professional level at all levels within a customer’s organisation
  • Understanding customer needs to logistically ensure best delivery methods
  • Picking up on buying signals and needs from clients
  • Working to KPI’s and monthly sales targets
  • Overcoming objections and using negotiation skills to overcome them
  • Reporting to the Sales Director
