As Collard Group Ltd celebrates 30 years of success, the company continues to demonstrate its commitment to environmental sustainability and operational excellence with the recent acquisition of new Powerscreen machinery. The leading national demolition contractor and one of the largest privately-owned waste management companies in the South of England has added a Powerscreen Premiertrak R450 and a Powerscreen Powertrak 750 to its fleet, further strengthening its recycling and demolition capabilities.
Established in 1994, Collard Group has grown into a formidable force in the demolition and waste management sectors. The company offers a comprehensive range of services, including demolition, waste management, and the production of premium recycled aggregates and ready-mix concrete. With an impressive 98% landfill diversion rate, Collard Group diverts over one million tonnes of waste from landfill each year, contributing significantly to a more sustainable environment.
As a longstanding and valued customer of Blue Machinery, Collard Group has relied on the proven quality and performance of Powerscreen crushers and screeners for many years. The latest additions, which include the Powerscreen Premiertrak R450 jaw crusher and Powertrak 750 scalping screen, will play a crucial role in supporting Collard Group’s recycling and demolition operations across the South of England.
The Powerscreen Premiertrak R450 is a state-of-the-art mobile jaw crusher designed for primary crushing applications. With a robust 1100mm x 700mm single toggle jaw chamber, it delivers impressive throughput capabilities of up to 450 tonnes per hour. The machine's advanced PLC control system and user-friendly interface allow operators to seamlessly monitor and adjust performance.

One of the standout features of the R450 is its Hydraulic Release Chamber. This innovative system detects uncrushable materials and allows them to pass through the chamber without causing damage, making the machine particularly suitable for crushing Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste. The R450 will work between various sites, including demolition projects and Collard Group’s multiple recycling facilities.
Complementing the R450, the Powerscreen Powertrak 750 is geared towards heavy-duty scalping applications such as overburden and C&D waste. The machine also delivers exceptional performance in fine screening tasks, including topsoil processing. With a feed-in width of 4.4m, the Powertrak 750 accommodates a range of loading equipment, offering unrivalled flexibility and ease of operation for contractors, quarry operators, and recycling facilities.
Rob Collard, Managing Director at Collard Group Ltd, commented on the recent purchases: “The addition of the Powerscreen Premiertrak R450 and Powertrak 750 to our fleet reflects our continued commitment to investing in the best technology to support our operations. These machines provide the reliability and efficiency needed to help us maintain our high standards of performance and sustainability.”
Blue Machinery is proud to support Collard Group’s journey and looks forward to seeing the positive impact these new machines will bring to their projects.
