Specifications

The input material ispreferably spread in a single layer across the entire width of the conveyor belt.  The material is then transported at an adjusted speed up to the discharge edge.  An adjustable nozzle produces an upward stream of air on the discharge edge.  The air stream gathers on the upper area of the rotation drum and is guided into the expansion room with the laminar flow. The material meets the stream of air and is separated into light and heavy material.

The light material reaches the expansion room via the rotating drum. Here the speed of the air is radically reduced and the light materials trickle onto a container or land on a discharge conveyor. The heavy materials fall downward into a container or onto a discharge conveyor before reaching the rotation drum.

Features

• Proven technology with over 300 assembled units
• Output up to 250 t/h or 200 m3/h depending on the material
• Working width from 800 to 2000 mm
• Patented Westeria solution
• Continuous improvements through tests, fluid dynamics simulation, customer feedback
• Very efficient due to optimized flow design
• Customized design
• 3 different demonstration models for customer presentations
• Test system for sample separation of material delivered by the customer
• Best separation results thanks to high degree of separation
• Compact design, requires little space also for retrofitting
• Adapted peripheral equipment
• Can be used in circulating air operation which also produces very little exhaust air
• Semi-mobile, wheel-mobile, caterpillar mobile, stationary
• Precision setting options for all materials through adjusting the feed speed, air speed,
angle of the nozzle, and the position of the conveyor belt
• High level of safety for shredders, more reliable separation of even heavy impurities
(iron and non-iron materials) and elimination of high costs for spare parts for
shredders and granulators, long downtimes resulting from shredder and granulator
damage are also eliminated
• Optional automatic adjustment for quick adaptation to the different materials
• Triple separator; precision adjustment of separation between average and light fraction
for very clean heavy and light fractions
• Safety level upstream of the shredder

Applications

• Construction rubble
• Unsorted construction waste
• Residual waste
• Glass
• Wood
• Compost
• Commercial waste
• Scrap metal
• Waste incineration slag
• Production of refuse-derived fuel
